Synopsis

Young aboriginal filmmakers, share their vision of contemporary Quebec in an original way. Through images of their home communities, neighbouring communities, and other regions of their choice within the province of Quebec and about the Nature, they will produce four (4) films that symbolize their view of today's world.

Each film must be produced and edited within a period of two weeks. Each director and their co-director must make 4 films in the framework of the series.

ALTHOUGH THE TEAMS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PRODUCE THEIR FILMS IN THE REGIONS OF THEIR CHOICE, WE WILL SUGGEST THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONAL SCHEME TO HELP TRIGGER THE CREATIVE PROCESS AND HELP THESE YOUNG PEOPLE CHOOSE THEIR SIX SUBJECTS.

    • The film is realized in their community
  • Discovering other communities Discovering Quebec
    • The participant show another autochtone communuty
  • Discovering Province of Quebec
    • The participant bring any subjects anywere in the Province of Quebec.
  • The Land / The Nature
    • Report of a situation related to the Nature (in a positive way or in a negative way. Examples: species in danger, vegetation, forest, environment etc.)

For the training session, the youth will meet together to participate in activities that consider the work and responsibilities involved in journalism.
